any comments/issues about the performance of ricoh aficio 2045, 3045 and mp4500?

3045 ok
mp 4500 same maschine , but new type of toner and developer , with some problems with new toner and developer ( same type is on new mp 4000 (4001) and mp 5000 (5001).

2045 and 3045 ok but dirty running, copy quality is good with parts within life, engine is virtually identical between the two but if budget allows choose the 3045 for newer connectivity features.

MP4500 ... don't touch it with a sh*tty stick, same engine but the toner/dev mix causes them to be a more of a toner dusting pig than the previous models, also the CQ is generally worse than the preceding boxes, avoid like the plague!

mp 4500 same machine Those machines are coal mines make sure you have a bio suit so service them.
You must be mad to go for those things.

The 3045 will easily reach 3 million if, and only if, it is serviced correctly and run with OEM toner and parts. PCU rebuild every 150k, developer every and associated seals 300k. Hot roller, pressure roller, thermistors and cleaning roller on condition, but keep the cleaning roller nice and shiny. Empty transfer waste and clean bias roller every 150k. If you keep an eye on the toner leaks, make sure they don't go anywhere near the laser, they will run like a tank. Above all, keep it clean!

Look for a used MP5500. They're bulletproof. Make sure they get serviced on a regular basis, use OEM toner and load the paper properly, you will rarely, if ever, have a problem with it.

put that in a public school and you'll find it full of bullet holes.

wow that's great miro! what are the problems you always encounter with these models?
any suggestions on how to maintain it? how you were able to make it reach 6million?
i have aficio 1045 also but i encountered some problems with power supply 220v because it gets busted, main motor sc440, high voltage sc395 and polygon sc320.
these are mostly the problems i encountered with aficio 1045.
im very interested to know how you handled these models.

I have one of these in a public school admin area, been there nearly 5 years, just over 1 million prints (not a record I know) but has only had one service call logged on it (945 k) It has had programmed maintenance calls for webs etc. But the user has only rang in once with an issue.(some sort of record in my area). The strangest thing is the machine runs properly and stays clean.......(o oh the phones ringing)

aficio3030 shb be good enough,not much issue printing @10k a month, mp4000/mp5000 is the best after rectifying their toner issue

There isn't a resolution yet. Not a firm one anyway. If you're going to go for one, keep a couple of hundred bags of developer, an angle grinder and half a dozen developer units on standby. Oh, and a biochecmical warfare suit.
