Has anyone had any luck with this mod?I have 2 machines that I have modded but I wonder how they'll fare in long term use.

Re: Fuser Web Mod
We use the oil roller from a mpc6000, it's longer and then use two of the bushings that are on the 4000 that don't have the one way bearing.
We have found that the one way from this fuser will lock up after a while. This method gets rid of it & is more dependable. -
Re: Fuser Web Mod
As stated above, I have only seen them lock up and using the different bushings is a great idea to solve that issue. However, the first time i saw one locked up was when the count had come around again to replace it. It hadn't caused any ill effects. Personally, I think these will run pretty well without any cleaner in there at all, that fuser is bullet proof, but I do continue to use the oil roller just for my own conscience.I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work. ~Thomas EdisonComment

Re: Fuser Web Mod
I have been using the oil rollers for over a year now with no ill effects. Will have to try the MPC6000 oil though. We don't have any of these machines at our branch so the 1055 oil roller was the one I found that worked. Anything is better than the web running out and killing the machine.
