[Misc] Ricoh Aficio 2238c - is it possible to print last copied page first?

    Hi everyone,

I've got a Ricoh Aficio 2238c that doesn't print copies the way its users want them printed. Say you throw a stack of 73 pages in the ADF, tell it to make copies, then go and make a sammich. When you get back to the copier, you've got 73 pages in the output tray, but in reverse order - i.e. page 1 at the bottom, page 73 at the top.

The user guide for the device wasn't of much help.

Does anyone happen to know if there's a setting to print last page first? Or is this something we'd have to get a finishing unit for? Thanks!

So ..... if I'm getting your meaning

They get page 1 at the bottom but face up.......? Is it outputting to the internal tray (under the scanner) or the optional proof tray (LHS of machine above the duplex) as I think it has to go into the internal tray in order to be output face down.

Check user tools/general features/output tray and make sure it's set to "internal tray"

The machine by default will produce a set of copies in the same order as they were fed through the DF as long as the sort option is selected on the ops panel, but the copies will come out face down with the first sheet in the set on the bottom and the last on top, so when you pick up the stack of copies from the output tray the set is in the right order but face down.

The other option is stack whereby if you put ten originals in the d/f and ask for ten copies, you'll get 10 page 1s followed by 10 page 2s etc etc

As the machine generally starts printing the first page as soon as it's scanned it, I don't know how it'd print page 73 first unless it'd scanned the complete set then started printing.

Thanks Ollie, setting the output tray to the internal tray did indeed correct my problem!
