    Savin CLP31 copy document function.

Hi, I am a new person to the forms here.
We have that Savin color printer to do light duty color printouts for events at our workplace. The problem we are having is
when you send a print job to it by any computer (it is networked) and we want a few copy's made, it only wants to print one.
I have gone into the settings menu on the printer and I changed the copy number to 20. But it still only wants to print only one. I have gone to the printers web page and it states also the copy limit is 20.
    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Rick

P.S.- I know you don't like showing the back way of getting admin access to the printer but I am locked out of changing settings on the printer web page. Any idea what the default User and Password could be? Or, How I would reset it to default?

Re-install the printer driver if you haven't already.

Install PCL5 or Postcript in preference to all other options.

How would all the drivers in all the computers go bad at once?

Ah...so from that I'm assuming that all the computers connect to the printer via an IP Port and the driver isn't installed on a server and shared with all the other computers?

The default admin login is simply admin and no password, you can have a look in there if any options have been changed. If that password doesn't work try supervisor and no password, this will only allow to to change the admin password, I recommend changing it back to default or at least "password". If the supervisor password has been changed then you need to find out who changed them and kick their ass, because if that has been changed then the only way of getting into the machine is a new NVRAM chip.

And you be right! sorry for not describing it correctly. I will try the combos.
          Thanks,

If Auto Continue is enabled and you have a paper mismatch, it will print out only one copy and cancel the rest. If Auto Continue is off and a mismatch occurs and the user uses the control panel to override and selects a tray that doesn't match then same thing, one copy will print and the rest cancel. Most likely the paper type is incorrectly set on the printer or the driver isn't configured correctly for type that is in the printer. If you have plain paper in the cassette but have it labled 'thick", "special", etc. and the driver is set to media type "plain" for that cassette, then a mismatch will occur (same thing for paper size). Attached are 2 descriptives from the Ricoh Troubleshooting Assistant....

I got it fixed! Thanks, It was the mismatch settings. I set it to "immediate" and now if there is a paper issue, it will just print.
The people at the office is not too careful about paper settings. (they just "want it to work" ) You know!

                Regards,
