this printer is driving me nuts it will jam just as the leadedge of the paper gets too the sorter entrance
(SR3000 bookletmaker) on single sheet or mulit sheet i have upgraded all firmware and changed the fuser ent sen and the motor that drives the entrance roller. Also i have changed the bridge unit swt and tried another bridge unit the printer will jam on the meter reading so i dont think its a printing problem each visit i have seen it jam there is no damage to the paper it seems to be a timing problem the thing that gets me is when it starts to print ok it will run all day ok i have also removed the lever for the paper exit area full as sometime these cause a problem any help welcome thanks

A bit of a strange one.

There is RTB793002 which goes on about jams caused by 'dried vaporized glue on the motor shafts that causes the motors to lock'.

In my experience they do sometimes apply too much white grease at the factory to shafts, motors etc that hardens while it sits in a cold warehouse idle.
I've had to free up and clean grease off few motors and bushings on various finishers for SCs and paper feed issues in the past.

It's certainly worth checking everything moves easily without too much resistance.

i will have alook tomorrow i know the bultin you are talking about the sorter has been ok for the last year but i will give it an oil anyway thanks for taking the time to reply

many thanks cipher i went back and cleaned the brass bush on the sort entrance rollers and all was sweet back to basics and keeping it simple 99% of the time works thanks again
