    ARDF problem

I have a problem with the model ARDF installed on
    following machines: MP2550 ... and MPC2000, 2800, 3500 etc..

When the originals are scanned, the ARDF horn leaves. The partwhich is the most backward of the copier. I have this problem on multiple copiers. I completely disassembled the ARDF but I did notfind. Not staple or paper clip, or warped guide.

    Have you any idea?

What is an ARDF horn and why is in on backwards?

Haha...I wondered that at first too!
I'm assuming he's referring to "Dog-Ears" occurring toward the rear of the DF. If there isn't an obstruction inside the DF, and there are multiple units with this problem, then I suggest that the Pressure plate on DF may be installed slightly out of the proper position causing originals to get caught between it and the Left scale of the copier as they pass through -just a guess.

The hinge also causes dog ears and skewing... have had to replace a few of them already.
