I have a weird issue that I've tried to work through. This aficio 2027 keeps jamming right at the fuser, like the paper can't be fed into the fuser. It folder the paper almost in half and jams. It will do this 3 times, and then after the 3rd jam, it will feed and print/copy with no issues until the machine has set idle for about 30 to 60 minutes. After that time frame, it will continue to jam 3 times and then print/copy with no issues. And the process repeats.
I have checked and replaced the paper feed rollers, I am tight on $$$ so I have not replaced the fuser, however I have replaced the rollers and bearings in the fuser.
I'm really at a loss here and hopefully someone will have some advice to lend.
Thanks,
Pat
if paper stops half in fuser unit and half out of it and its not wrinkled firstly check the paper tray setting and then check the pressure roller
It doesn't get fed into the fuser assembly, but gets jammed per se right at the entrance of the fuser, then folds the paper almost in half. After 3 jams like this, all works well with no issues until the machine goes back into standby. Then the process repeats.
It is the leaf spring that pushes the fuser drive gear up to the heat roller gear.
Take the fuser out and form the leaf spring so that the coupler and gear push snugly against the gear on the fuser roller.
Oh wow! That was exactly the problem!! I cannot thank you enough for the solution to my 1 year long issue!! Thanks also to everyone who posted with such good suggestions and possible solutions, all were certainly great possibilities!
I really am so very happy and can't say thank you enough!! Simply wonderful and I'm extremely happy!!
I'm glad to have the answer to this issue, it was really bugging me! It's good to know that it was something so simple! That also saved me from purchasing a new fuser thus saving me lots of money!
welcome first check registration clutch and clean it well and yo will see gears around registration clutches and gears of fuser unit one by one.and shape that yo add now it's registration misfeed. welcome
Oh, that wasn't too clear that you wanted one while it was in the machine. Nonetheless, the issue has been solved thanks to copyaction's post. It was the leaf spring that pushes out the fuser drive gear. It needed to be adjusted so that it kept better contact to the fuser. Works fine now!
Thanks everyone for the suggestions, help, and taking time to help me find a solution!
drive gear sometimes cannot drive the fusing unit ,increase the copper tension plate against the fuser unit fuser located near drive gear, tension will be good if when u unscrew the fuser unit, u shd be able to feel the fuser unit bounching out of the machine body, good luck
