    MPC2500 Won't hold keyboard calibration

    Hi guys,

I have a customer whos keyboard keeps getting out of calibration. It can be reset, but then two days later the letters are out of wack. They sometimes have to press the keyboard as much as an inch from the letter or number they're trying to enter. Ideas? Thanks!

Well known issue, replace the touchscreen (attached is the bulletin addressing this). Not sure if the replacement program is still in effect, but should be covered.

This is a known issue. Has the touch panel ever been replaced? If not, you will need to replace it. There was a large batch of touch panels that had defective adhesive, and the heat from the LCD display causes the electrodes in the panel to separate.

      See attached Service Bulletin below.

It mentions a free replacement program, but I believe that that applies only to the original purchaser of the machine. I'm not sure how to go about getting those, but it does provided the part number for the updated panel in the bulletin should you find you need to order it.
