[Misc] Ricoh Aficio 250 "Reset Fusing Unit"

    Hi,
Good day, just want to ask how to reset the FUSING UNIT on Ricoh Aficio 250. I just replaced the fusing unit, but there is a message that says "reset fusing unit"?
    Please help.
    Many thanks.

I believe that error means that the machine can't detect the fusing unit. Generally this indicates that it's either not installed correctly, or perhaps the wrong fusing unit was installed.

Most likely it's not installed correctly, or fully. Verify that it's pushed fully into the machine, and that the electrical connector in the back is making good contact into the socket in the back of the machine.

There is no "reset" for the fusing unit on these that I'm aware of, or can I find in the service manual.

I agree, I'm sure the message is actually "Re-seat the fusing unit".

As stated above, I think I remember that the rear receptacle for the fuser is somewhat easily bent, and dislodged. Remove the rear cover and check that the fuser receptacle is in the proper location. And also, make sure you're not using an Aficio 200 fuser by mistake, that might account for the message you're getting
