Re: Ricoh Mp201Spf Scanner Windows 7 not connecting
Do you have experience with connecting it for scanning? Have you made all of the necessary settings? Was it previously connected? Does it work in an XP environment. If so, I would suggest it's a firmware issue to allow scanning in Win 7 -

Re: Ricoh Mp201Spf Scanner Windows 7 not connecting
How are you connecting. is it with a crossover cable or on a router. is the macine runnung on DHCP or a static address.
I have found that sometimes I have to create a seperate user account for the scanning to work. Share the folder with read write permissions in advanced sharing and in security. then allow the port through the firewall on either windows firewall or whatever firewall the customes is using. Port 3670.Comment

You can not open the WebImageMonitor (web interface). Did you try to ping the IP machine? Did you try to conect directly to the machine (Laptop-to-MFP)?Comment

Re: Ricoh Mp201Spf Scanner Windows 7 not connecting
these copiers already come with the firmware that supports windows 7, you said that win xp can scan to it but not win 7 than its something in win 7. Is file and print sharing enabled? There is already alot on this topic you may want to search this topic here.Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please.Comment

Re: Ricoh Mp201Spf Scanner Windows 7 not connecting
Some settings to check, and that seem to help on WIN7 are:
For "authentication", use the actual administrator account name vs. using "administrator" (if applicable)
For "path", Try using PC name rather than the IP address and vice versa
As others have said, turn off any firewall, and check operation
Turn "ON" file and printer sharing make sure password protected sharing is "Off"
Make sure full privileges are allowed in the shared folder.
After saying all that, I've encountered a situation a couple of times with 5 or 6 Win 7 pc's in an office, all identical in every way, purchased and installed on the same day, and connected all but 1, and never able to get that last one working (I hope this isn't the case), but if so, maybe install a 3rd party FTP server and set it up that wayComment
