    OCE 2040 (Mita DC 1656)

New customer with this old macine sleeping for years. And now he want to wake it up .
I have no data about drum and dev. counter and also about tht history of this copier.
The symptoms are showing deffective discharge lamp and /or worn drum.
The strange thing is that I found not DISCHARGE LAMP (back to main charge) .
This copier has a discharge lamp or use for this the exposure lamp ?!?

I work most with Ricoh and Toshiba and not very familiar with mita .

    Thanks !!!

What are the copy quality symptoms?
These machines were prone to cleaning blade failure and were
touchy on what type of carona wire is used in the main charge.
They use tungston wire in the main charge and gold plated tungston
    in the transfer/seperation caronas.

if the copier has been sitting around awhile the best thing to do
is replace the drum and cleaning blade.

Don't forget the developer and wires.

          I found the answer at www.precisionroller.com :
Lamp-Quenching (Cleaning ) Lamp attaches To Cleaning Unit OEM PART 75710100.
          This lamp is missing !!!!!

          Thank you all !
