    MP C2500 Printing problems

I have a new install that I did on a Mp c2500 the machine works fine ,but having trouble connecting it to print. It pings but you cannot to the web interface. The scanner works fine. I cannot get it to print using the tcpip port, but smart device monitor recognized the ipv6 address and I can print that way. I belive some sp need to be changed it is probably been changed by someone. I can get in admin mode I have tried a memory all clear and changing the controller board. I belive I can replace the nv ram to fix it but I wonder if there are any sp I can try to change.

You should be able to set IPv6 to inactive in user tools-system-interface then set an IPv4 address within the range.

I have tried setting everything to inactive besides ipv4. I still get a forbidden error wen I try to access it on with the ip using ie and Firefox.

You did a memory all clear??? One thing I know for sure, SP5-801-01 can do more harm than good!

          Hi

Have you checked the "access control" range setting in WIM? it is in the security settings.

If a range is programmed only machines in that range will be able to communicate with the printer. All other machines will get that FORBIDDEN error.

          Hope this solves it!

You may want to check to see if there is another machine on the network that is possibly using the same IP address. If there is, you will get a reply from ping and not be able to access the WIM, and could be why you can only print on the IPv6 address.

Yeah, This is a big mistake, just wait until the first colour copy or print - it won't be pretty.
To reach "WIM". Make sure SP5-828-091 is set to "1"

yes, no problem a forced line position adjustment can't fix. i also printed out my non-default sp's to re-enter. thanks for the sp i will check it today.
