Re: AFICIO 2027 ( Scaning Problem )
Optics need to be cleaned maybe? Take off the platen glass, and check the mirrors by shining a flashlight across them at a 45-90 degree angle. Often they get frosted with all kinds of crap and it takes a toll on the scan quality.
The real judge is going to be the quality of the copies. If the copies look good then the issue lies elsewhere. Bad RAM (this is an old machine), HDD, or even controller. You may also want to check that you're working with up to date (well, as up to date as this machine gets) firmware. -

Re: AFICIO 2027 ( Scaning Problem )
x2 on the optics, but I also recently just had a problem on the same model which was using Scanrouter (although I don't know if it had anything to do with Scanrouter). I cleaned the optics, copies looked perfect, etc, but scans were very grainy. I fixed it by doing a memory clear on the scannerComment

Re: AFICIO 2027 ( Scaning Problem )
Sandmanmac ! i want to say thanks first to u and rthonpm , can i know how to do the memory clear on the scaning , after memory clear will effect any setting ? and rthonpm have suggest up to date the firmware , how to do up date firmware ? the firmware firmware can download from internet ? BAD RAM mean is try change the RAM , am i right ? appreaciate
As for updating firmware on this model, it is quite involved, and requires some hardware be connected that you will not have, and software you can't get, and "no" you can't download it.
If you're not familiar with the scan settings, and networking, etc. on this machine, I would not recommend the memory reset, or you will find yourself in some serious trouble with your customerComment
