I don't know if there is any solution. I always use a good surge suppressor on my installs, even here, where power is relatively stable, because even a small fluctuation in the power supply can send the machine into all sorts of SC codes, not to mention burning out circuitry.

Door switches or a pinched wire for 24V.
Remove the fan in front of the fuser and use it on something else that it helps.
I very rarely have to replace boards on Ricoh boxes.
Even a pinched wire didn't take a board out.

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

Check wires in inverter unit. They run a couple across the metal roller shaft. It eventually rubs through the insulation and starts shorting out to frame. Tape them and pout them in the holders with the other wires.

You or the customer will probably have to invest in a Line Conditioner or a Voltage Regulater. The Line Conditioner will probably be a cheaper option but is only useful for momentary surges and drops. A Voltage Regulator can have a battery backup that will maintain a constant voltage for a longer period but is much more expensive, especially for a high current drawing device like a copier.

Here is a link to a Line Conditioner available at Amazon that is pretty reasonable, just to give you an idea.
