Looks like these fusers are identical, but when you install the printer version fuser into the copier it says that it is installed incorrectly. As far as i can see the only visible difference is the rear cover is shaped different. You can swap the covers so the door shuts but still will not recognize fuser. Anyone had any luck making the printer version work in the copier?

Not yet but I bet the difference can be found in the pin assignment of the connector (like you need to modify it for the SPC820 fuser to make it electrically fit in a MPC4000). Just take a look at the backside of the connector and compare both fuser units. It would be great if you could share your results here. -

I don't memorize such things since it's really really easy to determine via A/B comparison. I'm quite shure that I've seen detailed instructions in another topics (various times) including pictures, you probably know how tu use the search function.Comment

Had a look at the point to point diagrams for both.
For starters: Looks like there is a pair of wires that are transposed - look at CN2 and CN3 on the machine side of the drawings. I think that that might be it, as there seems to be no other differences (see attached PDF).Fusercompare.pdfPress the GREEN button!!Comment
