They just want the the User Code Authentication. One four digit number. Not familiar with this model need some step by step instructions if someone could post them. Thanks.

Easiest is to log into the web monitor (login with "admin", no password), then under configuration, select 'user authentication mgmt', then "user code", then select the features you want to protect under 'available functions'.
Then go to the Address book, and add the user names, and codes , and the allowable features for each user. -

I assumed that he didn't have access to them via Ricoh, otherwise he would have looked himself. Wouldn't you? Or is this just misplaced faith in humanity, assuming that RTFM means nothing to the modern engineer.Comment

I lost this kind of faith long time ago that's why I prefer to dig out the RTFM gun and shoot first if so called technicians shows up with end user questions. I think it's up to the thread starter to point out that he's not able to access the docs for some reason, then I might consider to help out^^Comment
