    [CQ] Alternative to user codes?

Customer has over 100 agents using Ricoh equipment, mpc 2500 and RAficio 161; the co. would like to monitor usage for all. User code idea has limitations, and same computer workstations are frequently being used, codes are oftentimes forgotten to clear. Ideally, the'd like a pop-up menu to enter a code.
Is there a software that can take care of this better than user code?

You can use Card Authentication Package. Or SafeQ (www.ysoft.com).

You can download and install the 'PCL driver editor'. Below is a link to a discussion about it, and a link to the download provided by a helpful tech.
Works great (with PCL driver Only), and does what you asked - displays a pop up window each time after configuration, of course it does need to be installed and configured individually on each PC/laptop which may prove impractical

I've used the printer driver editor on quite a few machines, it works very well.
From the sounds of what you are describing, it sounds like several different people are using the same computer.
I enable the pop up user code box on 'public' computers.
I have a customer that has several public computers (several different people use them) so I enable the user pop up. Thay way when they hit print, it asks for a user code.
It works very well, I know it works very well on pcl5, pcl6, and ps. The problem I have run in to is using the rpcs driver on 64 bit, that is a problem.
