    MPC 4502 PCU ?

Just fitted a black pcu into the colour position by swapping the dev and charge roller assembly. No cutting or swapping of wires needed.

Only problem was the lub. bar in the black pcu wont fit !
    Any suggestions / info welcomed...

Has anyone run these or the older pcu's without the lub bar ?

    Cheers

thanks for sharing your results - interesting option just drilling a whole and keep the pins since it's messy work to remove them

Problem is it can't be done on 4502 (drilling unit) as they have placed pin where gears are I think that's why mpc4502 has come to market so fast but they may still be an answer besides pin removal ?

Oh dear, another drive assy damaged by all this drum fiddling. You have to replace the entire drive assy - and what a fun job it is.

Try using epoxy first! Changing a drive unit is a job to avoid at all costs.

a pair of heavy duty snips or metal cutters will do the job in seconds. this is what we do.

we use the B2242042 drums for all ranges of machines and modify to suit depending on the range of machine. depending on the range depnds on the extend of mod'ing. the worst it removal of the pin, swap a wire and cut the connector and thats it.
