Does any body out there have problems with this model asking for toner half way through a cartridge?

check the toner bottle holder chuck assembly, they split and do not always draw the toner bottle valve out far enough for toner to feed.
Check pcu to see if toner is actually entering the unit. -
Also check the gears are not damaged on the pcu, if you look where the toner enters the pcu, it should be clear, if its blocked there may be a problem with the dev drive.
And depending on what coverage the copies are can cause this problem ( to dense copies and long runs of).

I've had a few of the actual motors pack in on these, go to SP 2804 and trick the front door, turn the motor in output mode with the toner hopper out, if you can stop the motor by hand then it's had it.
Toner Bottle Motor:- AX05 0140
Be warned though, I've had a Gestetner 2212 (Ricoh 1022) take the BICU board out when the motor packed up.
The other thing to check (I've had this more on 1035/45 2035/45 - The "Adonis & NAD" models) is the mylars inside the toner hopper, sometimes they detach and cause a blockage, if you find them, just superglue them back on.
Failing that, it only leaves the PCU unit itself.Comment
