    SC990 - Ricoh af-2045

In the machine SC history, in the FILE option has mencioned "procon.c". The machine shows the sc 990 everytime we open and close the covers or finish the copies. Does anybody knows what it can be?

you will probably need to replace the pcu components and possibly dev, also you will need to reprogram an sp , which at this moment is in my kit at work, I expect one of the other guys will furnish you with the code/procedure. good luck

This usually only happens with a worn out drum.
Don't take that toner with me!

So if I'm reading this right:-

It does it every time you open and close the covers? - I've had laser codes SC322/326 that have been attributable to the door switches, the power to the laser unit is routed through the door switches as a safety lockout feature. Give 'em a flush through with IPA solvent or contact cleaner or just simply replace them.

If it does it every time it finishes a run of ten or more copies then it's more likely to be the drum. The machine by default does an ID sensor check after 10 copies or at the end of a run of more than 10 copies, if the ID sensor check isn't within the spec then the machine throws up this code. The ID sensor itself is pretty reliable and if SC990 is accompanied on the log by sc350 and the drum is 100-150k copies old then change it and see how you go.

              Drum:- A230 9510

              ..and I always also replace

              Charge Roller:- AD02 7012
              Cleaning Blade:- B213 2354
              2nd Cleaning Blade:- AD04 1105
              Cleaning Brush:- G790 2329

There is a possibility that it the developer is over or thereabouts 300k old and the copies look generally undertoned in the solid areas you could have to re-dev.

              Developer:- B079 9640
