mpc 4500

    mpc 4500

    Cant get rid of this magenta line. Happens on the first three pages printed then goes away and all is good. Replaced magenta drum and pcu and itb assly. Its just with the magenta and it happens with the first three in bw and color. Help appreciated

    Btw this one has 401k bw. 42k color

      How many Meter now? does it look like a patch... perhaps you need to replace the ITB Cleaning Assy....
      fix the customer first then fix the machine... its simple and makes life more easy.

        I replaced the itb assly with the itb cleaning assly. No it doesnt look like a patch. Its a fine magenta line

          The dev units can cause lines on these machines, although I haven't seen it at anything as low as this kind of volume. However, if you're getting a magenta line on mono prints then I'd go for the transfer or, as an outside guess, the PTR as the transfer belt should be cammed away from the colour PCUs in mono.

          Do you have a sample?

            i know this may be dumb advice if its a fine line have you cleaned slit glass or optics just tossing it out there
