It really doesn't help that Ricoh keeps putting the "Delivery Server" option on almost all MFPs.

Keeping it there is just inviting trouble. Why advertise a feature that is no longer supported? It makes no sense at all.

If they ever actually took it away, as they should, there would be way fewer posts like this, and the ones that did get through would be much shorter.

Just as an FYI for those who don't regularly deal with it, GlobalScan is the replacement for this dead product.

So how did you get this to work with Windows 7? Also, has anybody got Scanrouter to work on a 2008 SBS Server? One of our customers has called to day, having updated their server, to say that they can't get the scanning working.

Setup on Windows 7 is exactly the same as Win XP: Ie full sharew permissions, port 3670, etc.
The one extra step required is that user account control (UAC) must be turned "off", and once the PC is restarted to complete installation of Scanrouter, the service will nee to be manually started the first time, it's all good after that. (64 bit systems included)
As for SBS 2008, I have set it up the same way on some server 2008 versions in the same way as above, but I ran into one recently that it just didn't work, but I'm unsure which version was which.

        Hope this helps!

Ta mate, if the customer goes absolutely apeshit then I'll fall back on this with a massive "It's not supposed to work at all" disclaimer!
