Disabling the Document Server using System SP 5-967-001 and Printer SP 1-006-001
System (Copier) SP 5-967-001
System (Copier) SP 5-967-001=1 toggles the ability to store jobs to the device hard disk. This affects:
A) Job Types: Sample Print, Locked Print, Hold Print, Stored Print, Store and Print
B) All functionality relating to the Document Server (e.g. storing a print job to DS, storing a file from DS interface and from Scanner interface, etc.)
Settings:
0 (default): Enables the storage of jobs to the device hard disk.
1: Disables the storage of jobs to the device hard disk (can be partially overridden by Printer SP 1-006-001).

I think that the info above applies to another model and not the MP161 as there's NO HDD, DOC server, etc.
It sounds to me like the SD card has been changed, removed or something .
Remove the small plastic cover (1 screw) on the left side below the Network interface port, and see if the machine has an SD card. It should be in the lower slot, and it should say "printer /scanner" unit on the card.

What you're saying makes sense, but I found the info when I specifically filtered it for that model. Not sure why they have it in the database for it. Maybe they just lumped all of the B\W together.
