Red card for that, no doubt!

        Exactly!
When you enter SP mode, you can have up to 4 choices depending on installed features:
1: System SP (or Copy SP depending on the machine)
        2: Fax SP
        3 Printer SP
        4: Scanner SP

You need to select "Scanner Sp" , and that's where you will find the mode we ALL are referring to

It's the SP mode for the scanner function, not the scanning part of the main device.

You'll have gathered that though, as we're ALL saying it.

I realize this is easy for those who work primarily on this product but I do not have that option as an indy.

I have just been trying to find it in the book I will be at the machine tomorrow.

            Thanks for all the help.

Now I understand what you were saying. I still have not found it in the book. But once I got into the
svc mode it all became clear.
I made the setting and the customer is happy.

Thanks for all your patients and encouragement
