Hi all. I am having a problem with an sc 400. What i have done is removed the itb and id sensors and cleaned them. I cleaned the motor in the front cover that move the id sensors and transfer roller. Tested working fine. 2 Hours later, code happend again. Got to client stripped itb out. Back id sensor was dirty again.Lookes like cyan toner. I think it might have been a problem with toner density. My test chart from earlier was much darker as to the 2nd time around. Will keep an eye on it and see what happens.

Re: Mpc 2050
The problem with this machine is, the ID sensors are below the ITB unit down near the registration roller (as opposed to the MPC3500 engine where they are above, below the fuser) and I've found the ITB brace that sits just above the ID sensors has a tendency to get a buildup of toner on it that subsequently drops onto the sensors as the machine runs.
You clean the sensors, it's alright for a short period, more toner drops and SC400 appears again.
Take the ITB unit out of the machine, remove the metal brace from the PTR side underneath the belt (this brace has three windows in it that the ID sensors look up through to see the belt). You will probably find that this brace has a considerable amount of toner build up on it.
Clean it, and refit it.. and I bet you don't see SC400 again for a while.... well for at least as long as it takes for this brace to get dirty again.Comment
