    Ricoh 1035

Copier was in flood. Damage appeared to be in lower paper feed deck, which was replaced. Was called out to service copier for misfeeding - problem appeared to be from wet paper. Noticed copier making beeping noise that is usually heard after a misfeed or SC error code or when a door has been opened; none of these appear when noise is made. There appears to be no reason for beeping noise. Nothing appears on display. Any suggestions?
    Thanks!!!

Copier was in a flood, have the insurance company replace it. It will never be the same.
Testing 1-2-3, testing, testing. Is this thing on?

Have the lower cover switches been changed? A door open message gives a similar beep.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

        Hit it.

Maybe there's moisture inside the operation panel causing false key triggers.

Had the same a few years ago with an Aficio 3228C. Machine gave beeps at random moments. Turned out to be the control panel.

These machines are famous for door switches going bad under the best of circumstances (esp. the finishers (any model finisher)) Water and the resulting high humidity can't have helped that. You'll get strange beeps and random paper jams - most of which the tech sees as J001 which is paper in path at power on.
