Development Unit is overtoned. Replace the Development Case and the two gears (white and black) attached to the Development Roller. Pour in a fresh bag of Developer and perform SP2-801.

does the gears to the recycle auger mesh good, do you hear the gears chater and miss? i found the bushing that the auger went through had too much play allowing the gear mesh to seperate and even miss teeth.

The Machine sounds good , no chatter, auger looks good, but will try a new auger. Thanks for the idea.

If the front of the dev unit is full of toner it may be the gears / auger. If not they are probably ok (They must be working to move the toner / dev from the inlet of the dev unit). If you put new dev in, make sure you put paper between the pcu and dev unit where the toner feeds during set up or you may feed toner from the hopper / toner recycle which will immediately overtone the new dev and result in the same problem. What is the VT / VSP reading before changing the dev?

Recycle auger was warped causing the problem

Auger in dev unit? What caused the warp? overfill? if so I would still check the VT / Vsp readings and adjust as required.

Toner recycle coil was warpped, Top half of the PCU was starting to wear out , M/C has 640K on it.

Thanks again for the ideas to check.
