Re: RICOH MP C4500 dark background color in copying
if i understand right u r getting dark on the bottom or top of pages which usually is the charge roller dirty, clean with soft cloth and very little water and allow to dry completely. i'm sure you checked optics and laser slits clean?jesus loves you! (everyone else thinks you're an assh*le)

Re: RICOH MP C4500 dark background color in copying
black and white copies are good, the printing of the test color is good, making a color copy there is a uniform background of all the press seems to have adjusted to the maximum darkComment

Re: RICOH MP C4500 dark background color in copying
Are you getting print right? does it only happen with copies?if so then make sure you got the mirrors,ARDF mayler, and scanning glass clean. if it doesn't help you out try to lift the scanner from left front.it normally gets bent with a push and create some weird problems like background or lines in copies! good luck!Comment

Re: RICOH MP C4500 dark background color in copying
to explain, printing and copying is good, this fund is clear, it seems a problem of automatic exposure, adjusting manually to clear up the bottom disappearsComment

Re: RICOH MP C4500 dark background color in copying
There's some sort of adjustment in SP4xxx for coloured backgrounding but I can't remember what it is. Get the birth certificate out and check your settings.Out of interest, have you replaced the NVRAM recently?Comment

Llama God is on the right track. The grayscale setting has reset to default value. Not sure of the exact sp, just check the factory data sheet against what is currently programmed.Comment
