    Hi,
I've had this on a MP 5002, go into usertools, administration, and look under 'network security level'.
    And move it down.
In my instance, I had the machine programmed proerply with netowrk settings but could not print, access the wim, or ping. I did the above and it allowed me to gain access.

PING reply successful? It almost sounds like the behavior you may get with an IP address conflict. Intermittent connection errors. (Although this would usually show as an error on copier panel, I would pull the copier LAN connection and ping the IP address and see if you still get a reply). Can you print if directly connected to copier via CAT5 cable? IS SP-5985-001 set to anything other than 1? (If so, the web monitor will not display but you WOULD have a network connection. Is the error browser or computer specific?

Just a few of the troubleshooting steps I can think of.

Check SP-5985, make sure it is set to 1.

Hello, I dont know if this comment is too late, but, I solved this problem via telnet conection.

First, you need activate telnet on the PC that you use to access to ricoh machine.

After, you start telnet with the comand in start menu, telnet IP, where IP is the IP machine.

you need loggin with admin and admin (admin, pass in blank in some models)

right there, you need to write the comand "access" and verify the access level configuration

with the comand "access flush" you reset the copier to initial values.

after you only need close sesion and save changes with "logout" command, say yes and now you can access to web image monitor.

Good day, you are right. I had the same problem recently, but, I didnt find the answer that you said me. With this post, maybe that response is more visible to others. Anyway the exact solution is better explained in the link.

                            Regards
