mp c3500 not adding toner black

Everything mechanical works - toner bottle rotates, pumps are working (swapped them, they are identical) but for some reason toner gets depleted. I read somewhere nvram is corrupted. Any clues?

thanks, my buddy us handling the issue as it is becoming personal to him. I will update this mystery as all of the above have apparently been tested and in working order. There is a TIB about it referring to corrupt nvram or old firmware.

If the customer just changed the toner cartridge, and it will not fill up, and just ask for more toner, then it's the pump. If not, then check if the rubber tube from the toner hopper, to the toner pump is clogged. I use pliers to pinch the tube all the way, to crush the blocking toner lumps, then pressured air on a can to blow it clean. Use an empty paper box or something to blow the toner into, as it will make a mess. Or just replace the tube.

Hi,

I can almost guarantee that this is the toner pump i must have fitted over 50 of these, if non oem toner is used then its 100% the problem. when you change it i would also give the nozzle a clean too.

I agree the pump is always the problem, in my experience, with this problem. I've never seen anything else on these machines.

I've only ever changed one pump. Invariably I've always found the supply pipe is blocked.

Does it actually say Loading Toner when you remove and replace/refit the bottle?

If not it could possibly be theres a Cover Open
