Possible to install TrueType fonts on a SP 8200DN ?

    Hi,

Is it possible to install TrueType fonts on a SP 8200DN ?
The specifications online says there are 136 PostScript fonts installed on the machine, but does not specify what fonts.

I need to install three different "BNET MONOSPACE" TrueType fonts on the machine, but the account manager at Ricoh we've been assigned haven't managed to get a hold of the information.

    Thanks,

    /Kenny

I haven't done this on Ricoh, but this post may help you get started:

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

      Thank you blackcat4866.

That sounds... ehh.... promising(?) I will begin searching for the correct files.

Anyone who who knows how to install the fonts, once found, in the SP 8200DN? What tools to use etc?

I found out there is a software called "Ricoh Downloader V2". I got it from a Ricoh technician, a former colleague of mine, and the software also came with a guide describing a lot of the font requirements, i.e. the elements Cmap, Head, Post and PCLT, and how to extract that information from the true type font files using the ttfdump.exe tool from Microsoft (Microsoft Typography - Internal dev tools).

However, when trying to use the "Ricoh Downloader V2" tool, I cannot connect to the Ricoh SP 8200DN printer. But When I tried to connect to a Ricoh MP C3300, it worked as intended.
Is there another tool I can use for the Ricoh SP 8200DN? Or is it maybe possible to use telnet or SSH?

        EDIT: Misspelled

Does your Ricoh have a HDD? You'll have to have a HDD on-board to make this happen. =^..^=

Blackcat is correct. Without a hard drive, you can't install fonts, and I'm fairly certain that it is an option on this model.
