Here in South Africa Ricoh eventually (around Feb 2013) came to the party with a recompensation plan, after MUCH shouting from us resellers. They did not however say what serial numbers are affected, and only gave us a list of affected chips - which means one has to physically remove the board and insopect tthe TINY chip to see if it applies.
