Glad you got it working, but my previous post (above) does actually suggest the solution you found.
It worked because it had already had the Print/scan functions copied onto the PS3 SD card

ok, for future reference to anyone, you must remove the print/scan SD card already installed and install the PS3 card in place of it. Works perfect after that. I could not find documentation on it, nor could I get anyone to tell me the exact way to do it, so I hope this helps someone, someday.

You can applimove the print / scan card onto the PS3 card but not the other way around.

oh right!...I forgot that these ones require the Print/scan functions be moved onto the PS3 card. If you're using a PS3 card that was previously installed, then it's likely that the print/scan functions are already on it. I would first try swapping the cards and checking functionality prior to doing the applimove

Slot c2 has print scan option installed where does ps3 option go?

After that print the config page and make sure it shows PS3 on the line that lists printer languages. That verifies a correct install of PS3 option.

Turn off power, Remove slot cover, install card in slot C2, turn on power
