Ricoh MP2550 CSP address book problem

Hi! I restored to machine udf file with address book on MP 2550. Now, when user tries to scan from address book, he gets "destination list cannot be used now". Address book is full of users but it is visible only from admin account (machine and web). When I'm adding new user by a web or directly from machine, then this user is visible for everyone. I think the problem is with permissions for users to read old entries restored from backup. Any idea where is a problem?

Was the address book backup taken from the same machine or from another model?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

Ah, did you reload the stamp data and re-initialise the address book after the HDD format?

That's what you need to do to fix this. I don't have my work's laptop handy to give you the SP mode numbers but they're both in 5xxx.

Hi Steele - did you get this problem resolved?

I have a MP5002 with the same message - we have reformatted the HDD but the user codes still exsist within the address book, when viewed using the WIM or logged in as the admin.

                    managed to resolve this!

Engineer had to reformat each partition individually and then manually add an entry into the address book.

                    Job Done.

Just had an MPC5503 do the same thing. Removed and caddy formatted HDD, reloaded address book backup, no joy. Had to delete completely and re-input manually.

Sorry gentlemen for interrupting here, but there is a matter that needs to be of my chest:
I'm a Dutch speaking human being (I suppose) and most of the time you English speaking guy's are conversating in such way I can not understand at all what you are trying to say!
It's not that your language is bad.
It's just you are speaking in strange ways; mostly very "full of images taken out of the usual life" where a stranger can put head nor tail of it... (that was good, wasn't it?)
So, can you please translate this in normal speaking English?
Do I understand this well that when you make a copy of the address book and restore it, it is not working at all?

Yes indeed. The address book entries weren't appearing on the scanner function, or in address book management unless you logged in as administrator. I formatted the HDD with the machine and with a USB caddy, reloaded the backup I had taken and it still did the same thing.

The only fix was to delete the address book completely and re-input it.
