[CQ] Modification to the Gestetner DSM725 charge roller?

Every time we order the B205-0151 charge roller its different than the one in the copier.Did they make a modification to the charge roller or Drum unit?

Nope the part number is still AD02 7018 but I find its more cost effective to replace the PCU with the type 2238 assy rather than rebuild them pn 411018 they usually do 80k with no problems

Damn Brain farts! I'm pretty sure you meant type 1027 PCU assy.
And yes, 1027 PCU is definitely the way to go for (in Ricoh Terms) MP2510 / MP2550, etc.
That would explain the different PCR. Similar assemblies but the charge roller is not the same, and is the P/N Bantams gave

Thanks Bantams, I don't know if its the same with British and American parts because our pn 411018 comes up as a type1027 its definitely cheaper. The other thing is I cant find anywhere it says you can use it in the DSM725.

I think he was just confused by the cross-referenced model #'s in your first description as I eluded to in my initial response. Turns out I may have been too, because I don't ever use or see Rex rotary references

on russian c5 you need to do dev init as it does not do it automatically when you change to the consumer pcu unlike it does with the earlier russians. MP2550 is designed to have pcu overhaul so does not have the ability for new unit auto dev initialise

Okay, I don't know how is it cheaper. The PM KIT for B205 0151 consists of charge roller, cleaning blade, opc drum and order a b121 developer bag for a total cost of $140 for technicians. How much is that TYpe 1027 pcu?

The con of using Type 1027 pcu is be prepare to vacuum the toner inside of machine and laser unit after two months (frankly, it takes me almost 1.2 hour just to clean every toner off inside the machine and tray assemblies.

HOW IS THIS A COST SAVINGS?
