You do realize the SPC830 color kit is a straight fit into both the 01 and 02 series of device...

No modifying TD sensors, wiring harnesses, filing plastic, they are direct fit with NO modification required

For the 01 you cut the clip off the back, for the 02 you either break the clip off the front or just swap the original cover over

Done and dusted all 3 colors in 1 shot

Use the original K PCU and your good to go
Imprestik, do you know if fuser kit from SPC830 will fit into C4502 without any wiring change?

Fuser doesn't fit without wire change.

Yes they work perfectly, but rather than switching wiring like the previous models, I replace the whole fusing plug assembly

So remove both top and lower covers, unclip the 3 orange plugs on the LHS and the white plug on the RHS, remove the earth screw and 2 screws holding the whole plug assembly in place and swap it over with the new SPC830 fusing kit, works like a charm with the bonus of a PTR as well.

Your version number is probably pretty accurate considering how many times its been updated and improved.

              Thanks for the info!

Just done this nifty trick on a MPC 5502 - with no luck - Get the message to insert the pcu correctly - (and the toners too)?

                Any clue?

Tried swapping wire 1 and 2 no luck...

Perhaps my misunderstanding using the entire unit (not only the PCU)

Ending up installing (only) the 3 CMY PCU with great success. Thrashing the 3 dev. units.

Just be careful with the Mod Sheet in regards to the SPC830 fuser being used in the MPC3002/3502

It is highly not recommended to do this as the lamps in the belt assembly are different as well as the base plate.

I have seen these fusers kill a MPC3502/3002 completely due to this

Thanks for the warning, so the SPC830 fuser kit will only work on the MPC4502 and MPC5502, do not attempt to use it on the MPC3002/C3502?

Oh don't get me wrong, it will work but if you keep blowing up power supply's don't whinge on the forums asking for help

I got caught out big time once with a number of techs replacing power supplies as the device kept on popping them. Only realised what happened due to the different coloured tabs on the fuser, put the correct fuser in and it works like a charm
