    MP3352

I have an MP3352 getting light washed out looking copies. Prints look fine. I did drum, developer, primary and SP2801 but no luck still washed out looking. I have the primary for copying maxed out just to make the copies look good??

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

If prints look good, I would focus on scanner optics.

x 2 on the scanner optics. You didn't mention doing them, and that should be the first thing you do when prints are fine and copies washed out. It's certainly not a dev/drum problem if prints are ok

I did clean the optics. I am ordering a LED assembly hoping that will do it.

        Thanks

If its somewhere really Cold it could be condensation building up in the Optics If that's the case its going to need the anti condensation heater fitting.

Try to make a copy in 50% reduce and enlarge images to see if the density changes. It could be a tilt in the optic mirror.

Run Sp5990 - 06 Non Default and compare all values with the "Birth Certificate" which if you are lucky should be under the laminated card in the front door.

Had this problem a couple of times where the scanner gamma settings were all out of whack, dunno why, but re-inputting the values on the birth certificate brought the CQ back.

If it keeps forgetting them, it'll need an NVRAM
