Yea me too. Is the yellow line is the problem you're getting? the density seems to be very light on the black development. Try to do a color calibration from user tools.
We need to check your drums test pattern. So, if you have a test pattern or a magazine with full colors.
1. Make individual color of the test pattern (single color Black & White, cyan, magenta, cyan).
2. Go into SP MODE => Select SP PRINTER => DO SP1103-2
print out the internal test pattern from the machine.
I beleve you are looking at it wrong...it's not darker on that side...perhaps it's lighter on the other side.
It's not darker on upper end of your sample pic,it's normal print(asuming there is original toner in machine)
I'd say it's issue with black developer.
Wuld be great if pic's are larger.
Gears, springs, clutches, sliders, connectors and electronics...who on earth can tell what's wrong with it?
It got nothing to do with the drum or developer. Its the fusing unit. I have this problem too. And it still cant be solve. Try jamming it halfway whike printing after the toner has been transfer to the paper and before it fuses and u know what i mean

These are some samples of the prob.
Based on the reoccurring patterns on the right hand side of the left hand image here, I'll say the black drum needs changed. There's probably a chip or a worn spot in the drum coating that produces that oval shaped pattern. And a worn drum coating can cause the darker print to the right of the pattern and the lighter print on the left hand side as the ID sensors try to compensate for unequal drum wear. Also based on the left hand side of the left image, the black developer might not be in that great of shape either, but that's just a guess.

The paper doesn't get to the fuser before the problem occurs, and it is actually a fuser problem, please explain further.
