    Ricoh AF350 S/C 322

I have a Ricoh 350 that I'm rebuilding and it was working just fine until I started a major cleaning and was using an air compressor to blow out an accumulation of toner. After putting everyting back together and going through a normal warmup, the first copy came out blank except for a light shadow near the lead edge, and the machine threw a a S/C 322. must have done something to do something to mess the laser unit up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Aloha,

These older NADs had a problem where the laser would not be in perfect alignment with the laser sync sensor.

    See attached RTB.

If there is no image the polygon mirror could be sticking on spin up as well but that normally triggers SC320.

If the laser unit was in the machine when you were blowing it out (never a good idea as it puts toner in sensors and creates additional unnecessary cleaning) you might have filth in the synch sensor at the back of the laser unit. Pull the unit and check and clean this, then reinstall using the procedure outlined in the TSB. It should work.
