HI, new to this my first attempt for help. I have the above machine and it keeps giving SC 555-00. This was similar to MP6500 range which had the same issues. We have changed thermistors and updated firmware. Any Ideas ???.

Re: Ricoh MP 7502
There are modified thermistor brackets for this issue, I can't remember the part numbers off the top of my head but they start with D062 and should be in the 6001 RTB's.It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.
Hit it.Comment

Re: Ricoh MP 7502
Do you realize that 2 posts earlier someone was having the same problem with a MP 6002? I call Ricoh "the Toyota of copiers". They are number one, BUT getting sloppy (or sloppier). Fuser SC Codes have been a constant problem since the AF2060 series and are still not resolved. Try following TSB 020 for the MP 6001 (on the Ricoh Tech Forum this has been reported to work). Also, it was suggested that an INNOVOLT Power Manager should be installed to filter the voltage.Comment

Re: Ricoh MP 7502
is this for the older model or the newer one. I ask as these are giving problems in the field and ricoh tech said its down to the cold weather and the cleaner unit and as yet there are no bulletins to correct this on the new model?

Re: Ricoh MP 7502
having seem this problem on this machine quite a few times myself, i have applied these setting changes, and has since worked for me;
- cleaned build up on thermistors and strippers
- reset sc/jam counter 7-807
- sp1107-003 set to 120
- check the brackets have been updated
- in SP mode, 1106, open door, pull on fuser knob and check if temp zeros. if yes, connector is not in enough and needs to be spaced out more with washers etc.. but the 7502 and other xx02 range should be ok.
- 1902-2 decrease currently set figure by 2 digits
- set 3904 to 1
- set 1103-1 to 60, 1103-2 to 60, 1103-3 to 120.
- restart machine.
100% success rate for me so far.....Comment

I know things
Re: Ricoh MP 7502
Turn AOF off. I think it maybe called something different on the new machines. either way what ever function that automatically turns of the machine....turn that function off. you may notice that this code ususally pops up first thing in the morning as the copier wakes up.
etc..... ------ so the brackets dont do a thing....dont bother with ever doing that to any of the models. all you have to do is curve the thermistor so it makes better contact with the hot roller. there is a bulletin for the previous models that may work. and it talks about the spacers and what not, but it also talks about changing some SP modes (you would assume that these changes would have been made to the new models but whatever) these settings are directly from the TSB i mentioned above.

Would you say this works for all new MPxx02 series machines above 5000 series?Comment
