    MPC 7501 SC402 and 403

Hi, all. I just replaced the transfer belt and after running a few good prints I'm getting sc 403 and sc 404. I checked the connector to the id sensor, all good. I'm thinking the ID sensors are at fault. What prints that do come out are good as far as image quality. Anyone run into this before?

Had this same prob and it drove me nuts for a week. wound up being the HV PCB inside the ITB. It was coated with toner. Vac and clean both sides of PCB and prob solved! Hope this helps

I had this problem also after cleaning the ID sensors, I think the machine was in shock because of a drastic change to the sensor readings, run a process self check and line adjust and I think you will be ok. This machine sucks anyway,we have stopped selling them. A new and different model is soon to be released I am hearing.

Replacing the ID sensors took care of the problem.

              Hello

I confirm the answer of StrippedScrew that the tranfer pcb was coated with toner
              Thank you

Had the problem on a MP C6501 today after having replaced the ITB, ITB cleaning unit parts, and PTR parts. Since I knew the ID sensor was clean, I ran SP 3820-001 and SP 3820-002 IAW Goose's Guide. Problem corrected.

I completely agree. I work on these all day long, and I have gotten various 400 codes many times after servicing the PCU's or ITB. Now, after I do either, I run a few internal test prints of each color, and then run sp 3820-002. This seems to prevent most if not all of the dreaded after service 400 type error codes.....

                    Hello friends and colleagues
I want to ask you a question ?
                    the driver mpc6501 equals mpc7501
because I have a fault in a mpc7501 desire to replace it by a mpc 6501
                    Thank you!!!!!

                      Yep, exactly the same.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

                      Hit it.

If you are talking about the print driver on the computer the answer is yes. If you are talking about a part on the machine the answer depends on what part.

If all the workstations have the 75 drivers and you bring in a 65 unit it will print. Just make sure you set the manufactures model number to match the print driver or it may not update the machine settings correctly
