    [Jamming] MPC6000 J001 D area

This machine its a never ending drama.
It shows paper jam In D area J001 at startup . after checking all sensors , wires , cleaned every sensor in paper path . idk what to do .
The weird part. IF i have a paper jam lets say in A zone(area w/e) the machine doesnt try to start until the sensor in the A area is cleared. But in my case, after i open the door , unlock the B lever and pull out the entire unit (idk if Bridge is the right term) , pull in the unit , lock the B and close the door (procedure for clearing paper jam in D2~D4) the machine starts to initialize , but right before showing ready shows paper jam in D ( D2~D4 J001).Its rly enoying. everytime i had a problem with this machine the solution wasnt the 1 the service manual , bulletins w/e ricoh recommended.
After reading other J001 related threads it should be some switch , but no1 said that this happens with MPC6000 .Ofcourse i will try to test all switches tomorrow.

    Any ideea is welcomed.
    Thank you all.

    Re: MPC6000 J001 D area

I have often seen the paper exit guide plate come off its pin and hang down and interfere with the sensor to cause this jam code. It's on the left hand side where it feeds the paper down into the duplex to flip the paper over. Once the customer hooks it when opening the fuser drawer it comes off and bends the pin and/or the plate.

Maybe you've already checked that but that's about the only problem I've seen with the C6000/C7500. Jamming is generally not a big problem with those models.

I didn't say they were clean machines. Code 14 jams - stripper plate. I have several with over 1000000 and jamming is not the issue.

Well they are dirty beasts but I don't have much jamming problems. I don't have 33 of them but I have several over 1 million.

Omg cud write as essay,1 way way gear slipping on shaft on exit unit B1327028-always goes, roughen up shaft as well, warped exit guides causing duplex/14 jams, bearings collasping-requires new exit unit, lower fuser bearings seizing, fuser drive shaft snapping, all gears stripped etc,not b4 doing a nip band adjustment for dog earred copies & more 14 jams even though you've adjusted the stripper pawls a million times as per the sm -then start on the cq issues & the 10 milion pm parts u have to replace @ life & dev usaully well b4.
              Df is good though

I feel the same way as Semi, these machines take way too much time and energy. I have enough to do maintaining the other good running models I look after.

And yeah, it's not all bad, the DF is good.

                      @ semi right on!!!!
I ended up stripping piece by piece the entire fusing unit , and i found 2 problems .
First because of the poor design of the gears ( speacially the 2 small gears with bearings wich look alike) it makes alot of metal dust wich can end up in the fuser connector .
2nd i found a tiny piece of paper inside the thermopile caseing .

( sry for the late rply , vacation)

have a Savin C7570 with same exact symptoms. Replaced NVRAM as per tech support and still no go. Also cleaned all three paper feed units as per tech support

So why have a search function if you can't post things to an existing problem no matter how old is?
