PLEASE HELP? Aficio 2090 Toner streaking issue

I have an LD090 and copies started coming out with a black streak on the front edge. I noticed that toner is spilling between the developer and drum housing. I replaced developer and changes blade. Please help rectify this problem.

What is the print count? You might want to swap out the developer unit if the count is pretty high (no need to have spilling developer wipe out the feed clutches, I've never had to replace them, but it doesn't sound like a whole lot of fun). Or, if there was just a big pile of only toner in the left hand side of the drum unit frame, and you vacuumed it out then changed the developer according to the procedure in the manual, you might be OK. Might not hurt to keep an eye on the condition of the seals in the drum/developer area, too.

What is the print count? Enter Sp Mode 2001-3 and change value to 1300 and print a copy of copycounter and see the result.
I think its just a corona charge problem.
Show me results plz



Did you tried SP2801 and SP2962 after changed the developer??

Pull the drum unit and check it to be sure it is still clean

This issue has got nothing to do with drum or dev units.

It's your transfer unit, pull the unit apart and check the earths on the bias roller and connections to the transfer bias board in the unit its self. More than likely the board is starting to fail, so just replace the whole transfer unit.

did you swap a diff corona unit?
looks like typical corona wire dirty..
try a pencil erasure across the wire and clean the grid wth soap and water and dry well..

We just replaced the wires and grid. Looked good for a little while

I notice there is also toner on the foward part of the drum. About 1/2" worth. The toner is leaking from the front side also onto the belt and such?

also check your air pump is working. the hose can plug between the developer housing and the pump to the waste toner bottle. no air displacement will cause toner to be forced out at the add point which is at the front of the DV unit.

There is nothing to do with developer.

You have problem with cleaning.

First check quenchin lamps(disscharge lamps) if they are dirty in that area of drum and if they are dirty,just clean them,otherwise change drum cleaning blade.
If this cant help,you have a bad drum.
Do what i said and do not ask anymore questions.
