    problem with ricoh mpc 4500

    hi all

    i have mpc 4500 after i do copy with color the copy exit with ligth background if thier is any program i chang it with sp program to clear or remove this background

            Sounds like its had a "memory clear" to me, that always fixes em.

              I'm guessing one or more of the drum units need to be replaced. Here's the deal, when the drum coating gets worn down enough, the drum will attract toner to places that should be toner free.
              I suppose it could be a drum ground problem also, I haven't seen that for a while but if you have time you might want to get your meter out and check that, too.
              Still, sounds like checking the PM table to fix this is likely going to be your best bet.
              As far as adjustments go, I've had rather poor luck trying to adjust my way out of something like this. If anybody else knows better than me, hopefully they can help you out with that.

                That's EXACTLY what it sounds like to me too, and if there isn't a copy of the 'non-defaults' inside the front cover, that' s a big DOH!
