2045 with sc 990

good day everyone ....
first the machine came out SC 990 , normally i changed the new drum ,. the problem can be solved , but this time i changed the new drum , the problem came back after few hundred copies . I thought maybe the new drum problem so i decided to changed second new drum but the SC code came back after few hundred copies too . Please help
should i 'memory clear '???

You may try another Drum unit. Could also be HDD, LD unit, NVram, etc.

the SC990 has alwas been related to firmware NOT the drum. Here are some suggestions

[SC990] - A852, Upgrade Firmware; Copier-latest Finisher-D

I beg to differ...here's a few more causes and the reason for my initial reply:

SC 990 [SC990] - replace drum - poor or damaged drum effecting patches - SC 990 [SC990] - replace HDD SC 990 [SC990] - replace nvram SC 990 [SC990] - replaced drum drum damaged and arcing SC 990 [SC990] - wrong fax option installed, B135/B138 uses B653 edp 411848 MCU B134 and B079/B082 uses B547 edp 411347 MCU B078 SC 990 [SC990] - wrong fax option installed, B135/B138 uses B653 edp 411848 MCU B134 and B079/B082/B135/B138/B182/B183 uses B547 edp 411347 MCU B078 SC 990 [SC990] - wrong printer/scanner dimm installed B654 needed for B135/B138 series. SC 990 clear nvram - all SC 990 gray patch density incorrect, runs OK when in Pixel mode SC 990 Install correct Printer DIMM for model machine SC 990 PM machine SC 990 Reflash firmware SC 990 repair pinch wire in interchange unit SC 990 replace developer SC 990 replace drum SC 990 replace drum & poor or damaged drum effecting patches

try replacing the id sensor.

replace all front safety switches. especially the three on top of the fuser.

Hi there!
In the last 2 weeks 3 machines with this issue, the problem allways disapeared after changing the ID-sensor. I think the sensors getting "old" & sending crap-datas.

I hv faced countless problems relating to sc990 and always got it solved...but its far too deep and complicated to elaborate on it here..
