One of my clients has a very strange problem.
He copies a lot from old books with pages like an old newspaper.
So he needs to copy as light as possible, and that goes indeed perfectly [with the mode for special originals].
But sometimes this occurs: he tries a new book, copy is good. And then he starts for the whole book, and suddenly he gets background with dots and blurs, while the background of the same page was a few minutes before almost totally white! And then may be tomorrow he can copy the whole book, and it goes well.
He had this now several times in 5 months time.

Please, can you help us to solve this problem,

try to clean the transfer charger roller attech with the right door.or change it or the door not closed propperly.

hi, think it might be worth checking the ht connections or the ht board for dry joints, certainly sounds like a bias problem, might even be worth changing the dev unit if you have another to test it with. poss a faulty dev cylinder.
