    Ricoh Aficio MP4000

    Need to check what the default fax receive speed is set at.


    Long story, it is one of those its their fault no it their fault situations and as usual I'm right in the middle.....

      Drop it to 14.4, turn off ECM and boost the equalizers up..cures most ailments.

          if you have the manual, it's under fax sp modes in fax service mose under bit switches. I believe one is a communication swith and the others are in the G3 switches. If you don't have the manual, then I'll have to look them up again and get them to you tomorrow.

            Disable ECM with Fax SP 1-104-002 Change bit 0 to 0. You may also want to print out the error report in the Fax SPs to get a better idea of what the machine is having issues with.
