Scanning seems to be a good bit different than the MP C4500 or C4000. Having file size rejections and poor image quality. The image quality seems to be mostly generational and mainly do to the amount of "reduction" that occurs. I was not aware that Copiers reduced in scan mode just copy and fax. Is there a way to adjust this?

Most quality issues with scanning can be fixed by setting the default mode to photo, instead of text/photo. If the file size is still too large, set all compressions to high in Scanner Settings. -

One thing you might want to check with unexpected reductions in scans - make sure all the size sensors in the scanner and document feeder are clean and operating properly.
Of course, a sensor problem will also cause the machine to copy on or ask for the wrong size of paper when copying, too, so if the machine isn't doing that, this might be a waste of time.Comment
