    Ricoh MP161

Tried to install this machine using scan to folder. But when I'm logged in throught webinterface there
is no scanner utility in the configuration. Strange, I can make an adres in the adresbook for scanning, but
only scan to email, there is no field for entering the pad where to scan to . . ?

someone a clue here, do I need to make a full memory clear here ? It is a MP161SPF

    thanks in advance . .

Does the scanner option appear in user tools and when you actually press the scanner function button?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

Yes, that works, you can adjust the scanner in the user tools

Post a screenshot of what the address book entry screen looks like.

When you add a new user in the adress book, at the bottom of the screen you must see SMB scanning where you can put the path to the (shared) folder ( \\hostname_or_ip-adres\shared _folder ).

Yeah, I know that Eric, I configured a lot off MP161 using scan to folder.
The problem is that there is no field were I can enter the pad . . ?

Only a field for entering the email adres (in adresbook)

As I said, in the configuration of the machine, in the webinterface, there is no "scanner" item

Again, I know how to configure the scan function, but never had this problem

Can you add a path on the machine in Key Operator Tools? Maybe updating/reloading the websystem firmware.

Please dont do a full memory clear! A full memory clear should only be done when replacing an NVRAM.

Use SP5-801-011 NCS Clear. This will reset network settings, WebImageMonitor settings.

memory clear did not do it, swapped the machine for another . . .

This seems like an SD card issue to me...wrong slot, "locked", or just plain FUBAR maybe? I've seen a similar thing on an MP2020 when card was in the wrong slot (self-inflicted mistake). Otherwise, I have no idea

Oooh hang on, is this one of the GDI or GW MP161's? The GDI's won't allow any scanning other than TWAIN I think. Explains why the address book entries aren't appearing. Do you print to it using the DDST driver?
