    Fax Memory Full

Customer has a new MP301 (little desktop piece of junk) with fax forwarding enabled and now all of the incoming faxes have somehow routed to the machine's fax memory and is now full.

So how do I clear or alleviate the faxes so they print out or just blow them away.

On the older gen Web Image monitor you could go to the main login page and click on "Fax Receive File" and delete it but the new gen Web Image Monitor doesn't have it or at least I cant find it.

I called Ricoh Help desk and they were of no help and none of my other sources knew what to do either.

    Anyone? anyone?.......Buhler? Buhler?

    Re: Fax Memory Full

Although I've never laid my hands on one of these, it sounds that although it is set to forward docs, it is also set to "store" them. I found the following in Ricoh's knowledge base. I think you'll find the answer in the links contained in it:

    Reception File Settings

In Fax SP just go to category "RAM Clear" and do "Initialize SRAM" and/or "Erase All Files" to clear out what's presently in there.

I agree with Athlontini that will take care of it.

The "Fax Receive File" option will only be present if the machine has the optional hard drive.

Like Paul said, RTFM. The info is all there.

Hint: Sometimes you have to read the user manual and /or the PSG (Product Support Guide) too.

this will only resolve your problems until the memory is filled up again like Paul said read the manual. There is a reason why its filling up the memory, check where its foward to and why its not working.

You can choose from different types of fax reception and one of them is forward and store. It is quite possible that you have selected this mode. Before you can configure forwarding and storing only have to delete all your stored fax because otherwise you will not let you change the setting.

                          Test and we mention.

                          Regards.
